Work summary:
The Senior Transportation Planner is a core member of the Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering team at the Design Center.
Develops traffic demand analyzes and forecasts, transportation master plan studies, traffic impact studies, road safety assessments, etc. for projects of moderate complexity.
Works closely with senior project team members to review and validate deliverables to ensure proper implementation of all client requirements.
The business owner must keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the field of transportation planning and traffic engineering and share his knowledge with his team members, as appropriate.
Job Qualifications:
– bachelor of Civil Engineering
Postgraduate studies in Transportation Planning, Traffic Engineering/Management or related subjects preferred
Knowledge and track record of transportation planning and traffic engineering
Understanding of international engineering standards and codes
Proficiency in transportation/land use planning, traffic modeling, intelligent transportation systems and other information systems
Familiarity with traffic modeling software, such as VISUM, VISSIM, Synchro, MXROAD, SIDRA, HCS, AutoTURN, CUBE etc.
Strong operational modeling skills
Over 7 years of experience in Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering in a high profile regional/multinational engineering consultancy firm
Experience in developing traffic impact studies and traffic engineering plans
