The Country Security Director (Egypt) will manage and implement the day-to-day operations to ensure the physical safety and security of SAP employees, buildings and assets, which may have a very high level of organizational, compliance, financial, brand and/or high complexity in business and life safety.

They will manage daily customer engagement, knowledge management, quality assurance, and organizational learning. They will seek to enhance programs to transfer relevant knowledge across organizational boundaries, as directed by their line manager.

The Country Security Director (Egypt) will maintain the highest level of professionalism in all activities to represent the organization both internally and externally, while serving as a trusted advisor and ambassador for SAP and its affiliates.

Job title:

Provide comprehensive physical security support and guidance for multiple SAP business locations. Maintain a site-by-site overview of budget/spending, current conditions, contact data, and location-specific information.
Conduct physical building security risk assessments, surveys, and physical penetration testing.
Manage security services contracts (guard/guard), to include development/implementation of the “Building Security Operations Manual” in all locations.
Manage electronic security systems and suppliers, to include electronic access control, badges, visitor management, security video, intrusion detection systems, and control center operations.
Carry out planning, design, tendering, construction and commissioning activities for many concurrent projects, and oversee all aspects of physical security related to these projects. Projects include new construction and renovations (driven by world class real estate and facilities), system replacement and/or additions.
Evaluate and implement employee protection programmes, consisting of travel safety and security, juvenile, close protection, workplace violence, and kidnapping readiness.
Providing training and security awareness programs for employees.
– Conducting internal investigations as needed.
Oversee the reporting and resolution of physical security incidents.
Conduct presentation of physical security services when necessary.
Partner/support SAP health and safety programs and ensure emergency responses are in place.
– Report on physical security strategy and metrics (KPIs).
Maintain a close relationship with law enforcement and emergency responders.
Work as directed by the manager.

Competencies and Skills:

Manage detailed programs related to the organization’s overall financial, operational and compliance efficiency. Seek to highlight ways to improve the organization’s effectiveness and operations.
Possess good working knowledge and understanding of their industry and identify and gather key market information/trends and apply them to the organization/operations.
Manage and execute daily delivery of multiple projects up and down the organization.
Frequently managing relationships with global, regional and local senior management as well as external service providers and business partners.
Director of Operations and Interfaces across organizational boundaries within and outside the Global Physical Security Department that relate to the Area of ​​Responsibility (Country).
Pursuing operational excellence and quality assurance by providing best practices, problem solving and guidance in his/her area of ​​responsibility.
The area of ​​responsibility will be Egypt-wide, with a focus on all SAP operations in Egypt.
Acting as a liaison to the executive management / reporting / championing internal goals and managing KPIs.
Conduct performance reviews and manage people, as and when required.
The Senior Security Specialist will be at management level 5 and above with responsibility for multiple country/countries.
The Chief Security Specialist (Director of State Security in Egypt) is usually responsible for a large number of indirect reports.
Area 1 Management and implementation of the organization’s main strategy at the country/multi-country level
Domain 2 Management and Accountability for Regulatory Budget in a Multiple Country/Country (Process + Capital)
Region 3 Manage the daily tactical and operational aspect of business at a multi-country/country level

Experience, Education and Certifications:

8 years of experience in the physical security industry or equivalent (military, law enforcement, etc.) or minimum 3 years of experience in corporate physical security
3 years of direct experience in most of the ‘Job Descriptions’ and ‘Competencies and Skills’ above.
Certificate in a related field (desirable).
– Ability to pass a background check.
– Foreign language skills desirable. Comprehensive AOR language skills (Egyptian Arabic/Egyptian) and clear (C1 and above) written and spoken English.
