Our latest opportunity is for a talented Senior Planning Engineer to join our award winning team based in Doha, Qatar. This position is responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered in line with the client’s requirements by developing a WBS for a broad project. The duties will also include developing and maintaining a detailed master schedule and procurement and logistics plan and also to support and work with consultants and contractors to develop their contractual schedules.

responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

– Metrics and tools for planning, costing, scheduling (work breakdown structure), performance data collection (proven quantities, hours worked spent, and other progress measurements for direct hire and sub-labor), data tracking (compilation and daily cost control), analysis and reporting (earned value) productivity and risk analysis).
Develop project master schedule, update, control and review contractor work schedules, submissions, material deliveries, procurement records, daily follow-up as well as necessary productivity measurement studies and associated corrective measures.
Executing Work Order procedures jointly with QA/QC staff.
Identify and track changes, actual and potential, to project scope, ensuring estimates of cost changes and schedule impact are clarified with client and project management.
– Participation in contract management.
Reviewing and approving the contractor’s work program offers.

qualifications

To succeed in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include at least 20 years of work experience with at least 10 years in a similar position (infrastructure projects) in partnership with a Bachelor of Engineering degree.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office, Primavera and Microsoft Project applications is essential.
Due to client requirements, this role requires a qualified Planning Specialist with a valid MME/UPDA registration.
Candidates without an MME rating will be required to complete registration with immediate effect upon joining.
