Charterhouse is currently conducting research to locate a Senior Internal Auditor for one of our long-standing clients. This role will join the well-established Internal Audit team to support the Vice President to oversee strong governance and oversight associated with all areas of operational and financial internal controls.
This role should oversee oversight and governance within the organization; To develop strong internal controls linked to both collective and external audit regulations. Coverage of this role will be relatively broad and will independently manage the oversight of best practices, linked to internal controls, to ensure that all areas of financial reporting, management and documentation are appropriately managed in a standardized manner.
The nature of the role also requires a strong track record, within documentation, report writing and risk assessment, with the internal audit function looking to develop its technical capacity and access to business support areas and operational efficiencies.
The client will be looking for a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CPA) and/or a certified internal auditor (CIA or CISA) with a strong foundation within the audit practice along with qualified exposure to work within a widely diversified organization. Range of sectors and coverage.
The client envisages hiring an Audit Specialist, with a minimum of 5 years experience, allowing expertise within ‘best practice’ along with the ability to review and implement policy change while also working with senior stakeholders in an independent/impartial advisory capacity. The nature of this role and client work will require international travel, on a regular basis, to manage and oversee internal audit programs and any live projects and implementations.
