Senior Instrumentation Technician
We have an opportunity for machines technician. As part of our team, you will maintain various technical and mechanical systems, ensuring operation according to defined instructions, handling maintenance schedules, and identifying non-operational or failures. You will record all maintenance work performed on equipment and collaborate with operations teams to ensure availability of critical systems, and maintain an inventory of parts as necessary. Our ideal candidate has a university degree in hardware technology and previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Hardware Technician Responsibilities
• Monitor mechanical systems during their operation to ensure efficient and safe use
• Troubleshoot test failures to find root causes and develop processes to avoid repeat failures
• Maintain maintenance schedules for systems, recording all repairs and inspections
• Quickly identify broken systems before damage occurs.
FGT (Fire and Gas Test). Oil and gas refinery experience.
Basic tasks
• Follow factory policies and repair procedures
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair and replace process tools as part of the factory maintenance program
• Maintenance of process tools including valves, vibration monitors and other tools
• Perform environmental compliance tests and required documentation
• Reducing the cost of repairing equipment while maintaining or increasing the quality of repairs
• Work closely with plant operations to assess routine instrument work and emergencies
• Wear appropriate safety equipment in the right places
• Be able to move in and around process equipment and confined spaces
Hardware Technician Requirements
• University degree in hardware technology or related
• Excellent problem solving and math skills
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment in systems repair and troubleshooting
• Experience in complex mechanical, pneumatic and computerized systems.
• You must have 2-3 years experience in commissioning.
• Good knowledge of FGT (Fire and Gas Test).
• Having good experience in the field of oil and gas / refinery.
