At Charterhouse, we are currently working with an international firm, within the legal field, who are looking to appoint a Senior Financial Analyst to their central accounting team.
This Financial Analyst will take ownership of all areas of the Accounts Payable function, which includes VAT accounting and/or archiving, while overseeing all payroll along with managing expenses and payment cycles. The role should also extend to reconciliations across the general ledger while managing any documentation across systems and journals.
In addition, this financial analyst will have oversight of the entire cash flow management; To ensure accurate and timely payments to support accounting and reporting teams. This analyst will have ultimate responsibility for payroll administration and execution; Which also includes dealing with human resource matters relating to the allocation of allowances, bonus payments, employee loans, and any expense claims consistent with contractual benefits and entitlements.
The client will look to appoint a professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA) to this position with a strong post-qualification background across financial accounting and MIS related disciplines within a corporate and/or professional services environment. Candidates must be well versed either within ERP and/or Accounting packages; To allow for a strong background of oversight and compliance with regulations. The successful applicant will also need a strong attention to detail, to work across complex transactions and settlements, while also being able to partner with businesses to manage any trade finance issues.
As a final point, the client will also assess candidates who can demonstrate advanced skills based on Excel, with the ability to develop and deliver robust financial reports and accounts.
