Senior professionals responsible for managing costs and budgets of construction projects, including new buildings, renovations and maintenance work – from early cost advice to final account settlement.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Supporting business unit managers in achieving business objectives.
• Positively engage with clients and develop, develop and maintain client relationships.
• Providing high quality services and ensuring that the cost management outputs meet customer requirements.
• Project management to deliver high quality services and deliverables in accordance with business procedures.
• Prepare and submit order cost estimates and options studies.
• Cost planning.
• Cost-in-use studies.
• Advise on and implement purchasing strategies.
• Preparing bidding documents and managing the bid process, including designing bid marking plans.
• Evaluating bids and preparing reports on them.
• Evaluate work performed and arrange payments.
• Reconciliation of final accounts.
• Provide technical advice on legal and contractual issues related to construction projects.
• Contract management as a Contracts Officer or Employer Agent.
• Produce and submit reports to clients.
• Instruct and train employees to their full potential.
• Identifying new business development opportunities and driving growth across the activities of the business units.
• Preparing bids for services.
• Managing the provision of services for profit.
• Informing the members of the Board of Directors immediately of any issues that may arise or that may arise on the projects. In particular those that may affect Professional Indemnity Insurance (PI).

Basic experience, knowledge and skills
• Experience in proper cost management after MRICS qualification.
• Sound knowledge and practical experience of cost estimation and planning.
• Cohesive knowledge of construction methods and materials.
• Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including bidding and contract strategies.
• Sound knowledge and experience in post-contract cost management tasks
• Clear and effective communication skills – verbal and written
• A systematic way of thinking and a method of action
• Organizational skills and ability to adapt quickly to changing environments.
• Excellent problem, negotiation, finance and account management skills
• Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Ability to assimilate complex information and assess requirements easily
• A clear understanding of the legislation affecting construction contracts
• Ability to work as part of a team

qualifications
• MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
• You must have at least 15 years of experience (Residential / Hotels / Commercial)
• You must have consulting experience
• You must be willing to work in a remote location
• Must already be in Saudi Arabia to be considered for the role
