Sehati Card roll-out begins

Manama, June 30 (BNA) The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health, Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, affirmed that the efforts made to develop the health system in the Kingdom to be able to provide the best. Services to citizens and residents will continue unabated, in line with the wise directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and the follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He pointed out that the health system in the Kingdom will continue to achieve more achievements, praising the continuous coordination between the various health sectors.

The Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health stressed the importance of continuing efforts to implement projects that fall within the National Health Insurance Program (My Health).

This came during his sponsorship of the inauguration ceremony of the “My Health Card” at the Bu Maher Health Center in Muharraq, in the presence of the Minister of Health, Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab Mohamed and a number of officials.

He said that the launch of the “My Health Card” comes within the framework of implementing the health insurance and independence systems, in line with the National Health Plan 2016-2025 approved by the Council of Ministers, noting that during this stage, my health card will be issued. It is distributed to the affiliates of Muharraq health centers where the “Choose Your Doctor” program is being implemented. Later, the cards will be spread across the country.

His Excellency the Minister of Health praised the great and fruitful role played by the Public Health Authority to achieve the aspirations of the health sector in the Kingdom, stressing the importance of activating all programs and plans aimed at raising the efficiency of the health sector.

The Minister praised the launch of the “My Health Card”, stressing that the step aims to develop the institutional structure of the health system to be more competitive in terms of quality, adding that this program is in line with best practices and international standards. related to primary health care, and will contribute to improving the quality of services.

After that, my health cards were distributed to the visitors of the Bu Maher Health Center.

The My Health Chip Card contains the patient’s medical history, test results, diagnoses, and prescription details. It protects their privacy, ensures access to all primary healthcare services and facilitates the transfer of patient records between the public and private sectors as the information will be encrypted and can only be read by physicians.
