What will you do:
Follow appropriate payroll procedures.
Actively participate in the day-to-day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, staff and property.
– Patrols inside and outside the hotel and confront any situations or people that require investigation.
Handle and document guest and employee incidents, guest room lock problems, noise complaints and any suspicious personnel in the building.
– Help the disabled.
– Executing all security and safety policies, procedures and instructions.
– Assisting in the implementation of preventive security and safety programs.
– Investigation of crimes committed against the hotel, guests and employees.
Document all incidents that occur in the hotel in relation to crimes, vandalism, potential liabilities and insurance requirements. In documenting such activities remain objective, and write comprehensive reports.
Assist hotel staff in dealing with unusual guest or staff problems, such as, but not limited to, disorderly behavior, thefts, suicides, bomb threats, staff or guest accidents, fire or safety hazards, thefts, terrorist activities, and civil disturbances , power or elevator failure, medical assistance and natural disasters.
Stay informed of current federal and local laws and regulations regarding the hotel, particularly in the areas of guest, sponsor, and employee rights.
Take an active role in implementing the hotel fire plan including the general call center, command center, all technical equipment and the roles each employee/manager plays.
Assist in training related to hotel emergency procedures.
– Key control, locking system, alarm system and fire protection system.
Make recommendations to the manager in matters related to security.
– Respond properly in any emergency or security situation in the hotel.
Safety inspections throughout the hotel.
– Conduct VIP escorts in a professional and courteous manner.
Monitor CCTV and review footage if necessary.
Other tasks or projects assigned by hotel management and staff.
Your experience and skills include:
Oral English proficiency.
Experienced in CPR, AED, First Aid, Firefighting and Crowd Control.
Previous experience in the application of military law. Luxury hospitality security experience preferred.
Should have knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures commonly used in the field of security/safety.
– Excellent customer service skills.
Experienced in the following computer programs: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel and has a basic understanding of computer operations.
Must have the ability to drive company vehicles and vehicles.
-Must be open to a flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays.
– Must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with Accor standards of personal care.
