Manama, Dec. 14 (BNA): The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Ayman bin Tawfiq Al-Moayyed, received in his office the President of the International Federation of School Sports, Laurent Petrinka, and his accompanying delegation.
The meeting was attended by Ishaq Abdullah Ishaq, Chairman of the Executive Committee for preparing and organizing the World School Games Championship. The tournament is scheduled to be held in 2024 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports welcomed the Head of the Internal Security Forces and conveyed to him the greetings of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and President of the Supreme Council for Youth, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa. He affirmed the support of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports for the Internal Security Forces and the Executive Committee, stressing that the international event will enhance Bahrain’s position on the international school sports map.
Al-Moayyed affirmed that the sports leadership in the Kingdom is keen to benefit from the tournament that bears the name of His Majesty the King, to discover talents in various games for clubs and national teams.
