SCW Secretary-General receives researcher

Manama, June 9 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Hala Al-Ansari, received Dr. Zakia Reda Sanad, who presented a copy of her doctoral thesis under the title “The Relationship between the Presence of Women on the Board of Directors, European Companies and Profit Management”, from Brunel University, Britain.

The meeting was also attended by the Secretary-General of the Higher Education Council and member of the Council, Dr. Sheikha Rana bint Isa bin Daij Al Khalifa.

Al-Ansari congratulated Dr. Sanad on her academic achievement, stressing the importance of the research that focuses on the close relationship between the appropriate representation of women on corporate boards and their financial performance.

She pointed out that the issue is one of the areas of concern and follow-up globally, and it reflects positively on the status of women and their economic contributions.

Dr. Sanad praised the Council’s efforts under the leadership of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, the sanctity of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women, in promoting the status of women in various fields.
