Manama, Nov. 21 (BNA): The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Hala Al-Ansari, received today at the Council’s headquarters in Riffa, Amboud, Ghada Hamid Habib. I congratulated her on taking on new responsibilities, wishing her every success.
Al-Ansari praised the recent initiative of the General Secretariat of the Board of Grievances to form the Equal Opportunities Committee. She praised the role of the General Secretariat in protecting rights and security, pointing to Bahrain’s position as one of the rare countries in the world that adopts this system and the first country at the regional level to establish this type of oversight body.
Ombudsman Ghada Habib praised the efforts of the Supreme Council for Women, headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of His Majesty the King, to ensure the stability and advancement of Bahraini women and protect their rights.
