SCW Secretary-General highlights Bahrain’s success in advancing women

Manama, June 22 (BNA) The Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Women, Hala Al-Ansari, affirmed that the Kingdom’s policies to advance the outcomes of national efforts to reach the highest levels of development have achieved their goals. Especially with regard to the advancement of women and raising the level of their national competitiveness.

Al-Ansari’s statements came after the Kingdom was included in the World Competitiveness Yearbook 2022 issued by the Global Competitiveness Center of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) for the first time, in light of its advanced results contained in the report. .

She pointed out that these results are a positive result of planning, sound management, and effective follow-up to the national plans and programs implemented by the council.

She indicated that the Supreme Council for Women is keen to strengthen its strategic cooperation with the relevant official authorities in the Kingdom to achieve the expected development goals by integrating women’s needs in development and achieving gender balance at the national level.

She added that these positive results prove the success of the Supreme Council for Women in becoming a specialized entity in the field of women, making the Kingdom an important center for gender balance and equal opportunities.

Al-Ansari praised the continuous fruitful cooperation between the Supreme Council for Women and the Government of Bahrain represented by the Ministry of Finance and National Economy in following up the indicators of Bahraini women’s competitiveness and comparing them with global performance, noting that the Kingdom’s results are distinguished. This report and others are living evidence of the success of these efforts.

She stressed that the council will continue its efforts to encourage and adopt methods that seek to ensure the sustainability of equal partnership between women and men, which will positively reflect on the Kingdom’s development plans and enhance Bahrain’s competitiveness.
