SCIA praises royal directives to return prayers in mosques

Manama, October 11 (BNA) The Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, presided over the council’s regular session by default.

The session reviewed the report of the Ministerial Committee for Legal and Legislative Affairs, requesting a report and other proposals and recommendations, and took the necessary measures in this regard.

He praised the royal directive to ease restrictions on performing prayers in mosques, while taking the necessary precautionary measures.

The head of the Supreme Media Council praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s continued keenness to establish religious rites even in exceptional circumstances, as happened during the pandemic, with an emphasis on health precautions.

He also praised the efforts made by the Bahrain team, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which led the Kingdom to recovery and a normal life.
