Saudi Arabia signs protocol amending, extending scientific, technical cooperation agreement with USA

Riyadh, April 14 (BNA) King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology and the US Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia today signed a protocol to amend and expand the scientific and technological cooperation agreement between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The United States of America in a way that contributes to improving the research, development and innovation sector and achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported that the President of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Dr. Munir bin Mahmoud Al-Desouki, and the Chargé d’Affairs of the US Embassy, ​​Martina Strong, represent the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, respectively, in the presence of a number of officials from the two countries.

The Scientific and Technological Cooperation Protocol seeks to enhance the scientific and technological capabilities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of America, expand the scope of relations between the scientific and technological communities in the two countries, and encourage scientific and technological cooperation in areas of mutual benefit. For peaceful purposes, in addition to providing the opportunity for the exchange of ideas, information, skills and technological methods.

The ten-year cooperation also contributes to achieving common goals in the fields of research for science and technology, and supports partnerships between public and private research institutions to include all spectrums of science, engineering and technology.
