Saudi Arabia hosts tenth edition of Arab-China Business Conference

Riyadh, June 8 (BNA): Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the tenth session of the Arab Council. China Business Conference to be held in Riyadh from June 11 to 12.


The conference, organized by the Ministry of Investment in partnership with the League of Arab States, the Chinese Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Union of Arab Chambers, aims to enhance trade and economic cooperation between Arab and Chinese business communities.


This year’s conference, held under the theme “Cooperating for Prosperity”, will focus on exploring qualitative and multilateral investment opportunities in a range of sectors including technology, renewable energy, agriculture, real estate, minerals, logistics, innovation and others.


His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud will open the conference. The agenda of the conference, which is being hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the first time, includes sessions and meetings that highlight how partnerships can help achieve sustainable development across the Arab countries and China.


Investment Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih affirmed that the Crown Prince’s sponsorship of the conference embodies the leadership’s commitment to strengthening strategic cooperation with influential international economic powers to achieve sustainable and beneficial results.


He added that the event represents a positive shift in the dynamism of Arab-Chinese trade relations, and more than 150 speakers, including ministers and leaders of major companies in China and Arab countries, participate in it.

The conference agenda includes 8 sessions, 18 workshops, and various specialized meetings. The conference will help introduce the parties to new projects, in addition to covering major topics, including innovative new technologies, ways to amplify trade cooperation, and the future of joint economic relations between the two regions.

The 10th edition of the Arab-Chinese Business Conference is the largest Arab-Chinese trade and investment gathering in the world with more than 3,000 decision-makers, senior government officials, investors, business owners and specialists uniting to explore the future of Arab-Chinese trade relations.


The conference, with the participation of 23 countries, aims to strengthen the Arab-Chinese strategic partnership through the Belt and Road Initiative, support economic cohesion and develop multilateral partnerships.
