Saudi Arabia hosts GCC Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee

Riyadh, October 3 (BNA) The Saudi Ministry of Finance hosted the 117th meeting of the Financial and Economic Cooperation Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council headed by Minister of Finance Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Jadaan.

The meeting reviewed topics related to enhancing financial and economic cooperation among the GCC states, in addition to discussing the impact of global economic crises on the economies of the GCC states.

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) finance ministers and central bank governors held a meeting with the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, to discuss cross-cutting issues for the region, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The meeting discussed the damage to the global economy from the coronavirus pandemic, the disruption of the energy and food market, and cooperation between the International Monetary Fund and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
