Sao Paulo and Del Valle reach Copa Sudamericana final

Sao Paulo, September 9 (BNA) Brazil’s Sao Paulo and Ecuadorean Independiente del Valle will play this year in the final of the Copa Sudamericana, the second most important club tournament in South America.

The decision is set to be made October 1 in the Argentine city of Cordoba, according to the Associated Press.

Sao Paulo went ahead on penalties after winning 2-0 at home to Atletico Goiananci on Thursday. Patrick scored the two goals in the fourth and 63rd minutes at Morumbi Stadium to leave the aggregate 3-3.

Sao Paulo beat its guest 4-2 on penalties. Independiente del Valle reached the final on Wednesday with a 3-0 win over Peruvian hosts Melgar, the same result as last week’s first leg.
