Samsung to hold developer conference online next month

Seoul, Sept. 16 (BUS): Samsung Electronics announced Thursday that its technology conference will be held online for the first time next month amid the outbreak of the pandemic.

The South Korean tech giant said it has decided to hold the Samsung Developer Conference (SDC) on October 26. The event was canceled last year due to concerns about COVID-19.

Started in 2013, SDC is an annual event that brings together thousands of developers, content creators, and designers to discuss future technologies and services. Samsung also revealed its upcoming technologies and software insights at the event, according to South Korea’s Yonhap News Agency.

The SDC conference usually takes place near Silicon Valley, California, where the major IT companies are located, between October and November.

The conference focused on mobile technologies in the early days, but in recent years, it has also introduced new solutions in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT).

At the 2019 SDC, about 5,000 people participated in the event and shared their thoughts on various technologies and services that can improve the user experience.
