You ensure the development and implementation of customer plans by supporting the delivery of growth strategies and tactics. You understand the business metrics and financial factors needed to unleash the profitable growth of Mondelez International and our clients and work with key account managers to implement plans to achieve our annual goal.

How will you contribute?

you will:

Leads the development of the commercial marketing portion of the category’s annual plans (contract process)
Understands market dynamics/consumer insights by channel to participate in commercial marketing strategic decisions
Leads a business planning meeting where sales quotas are built in order to accomplish annual plans based on relevant building blocks
Suggests and influences investment in category building blocks, by category and channel needs, and is accountable for delivery excellence at the point of sale.
– Follow up of the category competition business in order to detect potential business opportunities and threats to the brand
Plays a leadership role within multi-category teams by leading and providing accurate and relevant point-of-sale information that will lead to business opportunities such as innovations, customer promotion, portfolio, pricing, etc., which will lead to multi-category objectives

More about this role

Planning

Build a robust bottom-up layout at the customer/channel level for the category/inventory holding units in terms of volume and spend.
Work closely with sales colleagues to jointly develop optimal plans.
Develop planning for NPD launch and activations, tracking/reporting progress during launch year/month and completion with post-launch assessment.

Implementation of

Perform required due diligence as per the process to ensure correct and timely implementation of all types of trade plan.
Implementation with activation and launch par excellence ensuring that all people involved know what needs to be done, who will do it and when it should be done.
Monitoring the adherence of the promotional flyers to the plan and taking corrective actions when necessary.
Proactively address assigned issues and opportunities.

Analytics

Performs category/customer wise analysis of client raw data and EPOS data to build understanding among stakeholders of trends, issues, what works and what doesn’t and why and propose action plan where necessary.
Have an understanding of the business landscape of the in-game classes and the competitive environment and share it with stakeholders to make better informed decisions.
Understand the category/client PnL and what are the reasons behind being on track/off track versus plan

What you need to know about this position:

Senior Candidate Expert in Category Management

Job specific requirements:

3-5 years of hands-on experience in FMCG (in trade marketing, category planning or marketing)
– Fluent in spoken and written English
– High level of MS Office skills (Excel, PPT)
– Very good communication and teamwork skills
