WSP is looking for a safety inspector to oversee the contractor’s HSE practices for daily site operations and advise the Safety Manager on any HSE violations.
A normal week includes:
* Review the contractor’s HSE plan and monitor compliance with the plan
* Carry out regular site visits to inspect the contractor’s HSE arrangements and prepare reports based on its findings
* Work in close contact with contractor personnel and ensure that high standards of safety are maintained in all work activities and the site is maintained in a clean and tidy manner
* Keep a record of any health, safety and environment violations
Record the actions taken by the contractor to correct safety defects
* Review, respond and recommend approvals for all risk and safety assessments of method statements
* help? Safety Manager in producing data and details required for weekly/monthly safety reports
* Implementation of health and safety performance management KPI’s for specific audit objectives in place.
We would love to hear from you if you have:
* Excellent communication skills and ability to influence
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
* Hold a degree/diploma in a related subject
* Hold a NEBOSH IGC or other internationally recognized equivalent certificate.
* At least 3 years of experience in handling major construction projects
