Sadio Mané scores again as Bayern wins 5-0 in German Cup

Munich, September 1 (BUS): Sadio Mane, who is contracting with Marque, maintained his impressive scoring brilliance as Bayern Munich managed to win 5-0 at its host Victoria Cologne in the third division in the German Cup.

Mane joined Bayern in a major off-season transfer from Champions League runners-up Liverpool and the Senegalese forward made five goals in six matches when he netted to make it 3-0 early in the second half, the Associated Press reports.

Dutch midfielder Ryan Gravenberch scored his first goal of his career for Bayern Munich to put the record 20-times cup winner ahead in the 35th minute. He then appointed 17-year-old striker Matthijs Tal – another new signing – in added time into the half the first.

Bayern’s next goal came via 19-year-old striker Jamal Musiyala – his fifth in every number of matches – before silky midfielder Leon Goretzka wrapped it up late after being sent in by Mane.

On Tuesday, former Chelsea striker Timo Werner scored a hat-trick in the first half as RB Leipzig began their cup defense with an 8-0 win over amateur team Teutonia Otensen.
