RVIS hosts 250 Educators for 2023 NESA Educators Training Institute

Manama, Feb. 1 (BNA): Riffa Views International School (RVIS) hosted 250 teachers from around the world for its Teacher Training Institute in the Near East and South Asia (NESA).

The training institute, which lasted for four days, included 11 collaborative workshops facilitated by international experts.

“Our primary mission is to build dynamic, collaborative, and professional relationships between educators and their schools,” said Madeline Hewitt, executive director of NESA.

The workshops included topics on building stronger leaders through adaptive school training. developing stronger communities in the early childhood classroom through positive discipline; and exploring real ways to enhance student learning in areas such as critical and creative thinking, collaboration and digital citizenship.

“The workshop helped reframe my thinking and gave me a range of new strategies for increasing the learning environment in my classroom,” said Diana Dickerson, RVIS Kindergarten Educator.

RVIS Head of School Jo Garrahy said they are honored to be working with NESA.

“We are proud to host an event of this magnitude designed to bring educators together and enhance children’s learning in Bahrain and the region. This partnership is a symbol of RVIS’s commitment to advancing the education system, and sharing new and innovative approaches for educators around the world.”
