Moscow, Jan. 23 (BNA): The Russian Federation condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran by a Swedish extremist in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.
In a statement today, the Russian Foreign Ministry described its rejection of such heinous acts.
“The burning of the Qur’an represents an outrageous provocative attack on Islam by extremist elements in Sweden,” the statement said, calling for action against extremist elements.
The ministry said that such disgraceful practices reveal the true face of the “civilized West” and how it deals with those it believes are inferior.
