Royal Court Minister receives NIHR eighth annual report

Manama, October 26 (BNA) The Minister of the Royal Court, Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, commissioned by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, received the President of the National Institution for Human Rights Ali Ahmed Al-Dirazi, who presented him to him. The Minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the National Institution for Human Rights in promoting and protecting human rights in the Kingdom in accordance with the human rights principles contained in the National Action Charter, the Constitution, and relevant laws and legislation, in addition to international and international legislation. The report highlighted the Foundation’s efforts and activities in protecting and promoting human rights in general, and its monitoring of the efforts of the National Medical Team to combat the Coronavirus (COVID-19) based on the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad. Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which contributed to the promotion of the right to health and the provision of health care to citizens and residents alike, in addition to the advisory opinions provided by the National Institution for Human Rights to the constitutional authorities.

The head of the National Institution for Human Rights expressed his gratitude to His Majesty the King for his constant patronage of human rights and his directives to make more efforts to advance, protect and enhance the human rights system to meet expectations and enhance the Kingdom’s position among developed countries in this field.
