Royal Court Minister receives NAO audited financial statements for 2022

Manama, April 4 (BNA): Minister of the Royal Court, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, received on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa the annual report of the National Audit Office and the audited financial statements for the year ending in December. 31, 2022 from the President of the Office of Civil Aviation, Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, to submit it to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The minister praised the Bureau’s efforts in preserving public funds, verifying their safety and legality, and ensuring the highest levels of productivity, efficiency, and employment of resources by adopting the latest international practices.

Sheikh Khalid stressed the importance of the role played by the office as one of the fruits of the reform project of His Majesty the King, referring to the independence granted by law to the National Public Office, which enabled it to perform its effective role in preserving Bahrain’s gains.

The head of the office said that the office’s financial statements confirm its vision as an independent supervisory body operating with high professionalism, indicating that the development, progress and success that the office has achieved since its inception is due to the continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa. Al Khalifa.

He stressed the continuous follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and his directives to ministries and institutions in cooperation with the Audit Bureau, which facilitated the implementation of tasks and the preparation of reports professionally.

The Auditor General emphasized the principle of a positive approach in preparing reports and carrying out tasks, raising the level of cooperation with all entities covered by the office’s oversight, and helping them improve their performance in accordance with international control standards.
