San Francisco, D.; 6 (US): Rookie Andrew Nimhard scored a season-high 31 points and added 13 assists and eight rebounds, leading the Indiana Pacers to a 112-104 win over the Golden State Warriors Monday night.
In the second round, Nembhard made a 3-pointer with 4:26 to go and another jump less than two minutes later. Indiana played without starting point guard Terese Haliburton for the second straight game as he had a sore left hip.
Klay Thompson scored 28 points and made eight three-pointers in the six-year anniversary of his 60-point masterpiece against the Pacers, the Associated Press reports.
Thompson finished 9 of 23, but Stephen Curry held on to 12 points on 3-for-17. Jordan Paul scored 23 first in place of Andrew Wiggins as he sat tight in the adductor muscle in his right leg.
Nimbard scored 5s3 while Buddy Hill added 17 points, nine rebounds and five assists as Indiana snapped a three-game losing streak with only their second win in six games.
Golden State’s 10-game winning streak was snapped.
Curry went 1-of-7 in the first half, missing all 4 of his 3-point attempts and was 2-for-10 from deep overall. Finally, Carey connected from the distance with 5:13 remaining in the third after missing the top five.
The Pacers, who lost six players injured or ill, jumped out to a 22-12 lead as Golden State started 5-for-17.
Thompson hit three consecutive three-pointers all from the right wing to tie the game at 42 at the 4:51 mark of the second quarter before the Pacers timeout. Thompson also delivered an assist on a Jonathan Cumminga pass before throwing the three-ball, and almost had another when Cumminga was fouled and made two free throws to close out the first half with a score of 20-2 3:40 before halftime.

Thompson hit 60 against Indiana over three quarters on December 5, 2016. On Monday, he passed Jason Kidd (1,988) for 13th on the NBA’s three-pointers list and he now has 1,990.
“I remember people getting mad at me for not keeping him on the floor so he could try to get a 70, but we had a huge lead and at the end of the third period it was clear we were going to win the game,” Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “It was an easy decision. I just remember, we’ve seen Clay hot a lot over the years, but there are some notable matches and this is one of them.”
