Road mishap claims 11 lives in central India

New Delhi, May 4 (BNA): Eleven people, including five women and two children, were killed and another seriously injured in a road accident in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, according to a local police official.

Eleven people were killed and a child was seriously injured after a truck and a car collided near Jagatra area of ​​Palode district, Palode Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Yadav told Xinhua over the phone.

The road accident occurred when the victims traveling in the car were returning home after attending a wedding in the vicinity.

A local police official said all of the dead belonged to the same family and worked as labourers.
