New Delhi, May 4 (BNA): Eleven people, including five women and two children, were killed and another seriously injured in a road accident in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh, according to a local police official.
Eleven people were killed and a child was seriously injured after a truck and a car collided near Jagatra area of Palode district, Palode Superintendent of Police Jitendra Kumar Yadav told Xinhua over the phone.
The road accident occurred when the victims traveling in the car were returning home after attending a wedding in the vicinity.
A local police official said all of the dead belonged to the same family and worked as labourers.
