Manama, Dec. 10 (BNA): The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) launched its charitable project – “Royal Blue Tea” /
The inauguration ceremony was held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.
The event was attended by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, and Dr. Khaled Ahmed Hassan, Acting Undersecretary for Livestock at the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture.
The tea will be put into special packages without any additives in the initial stage. The product will then be available in multiple natural flavours. In the future, multiple types of iced blue tea will be produced,” said RHF General Secretary Dr. Mustafa El-Sayed.

d said. Al-Sayed said in a statement that the proceeds of the charitable project will be allocated to support families affiliated with the Health Care Foundation, orphans, widows and all needy social segments.
He said, “An agreement has been reached with the Lulu International Group to market tea in its stores around the world as a natural and healthy Bahraini product, all the proceeds of which will be allocated for the benefit of orphans and people of determination.”
There are more than 400 tea trees on the farm, which is run by the Agricultural Center for Vocational Training of the Bahrain Society for Mental Retardation.
“The plants are grown organically without the use of any chemicals or pesticides, providing a natural and healthy product,” said Dr. El-Sayed.
This product was chosen because it is an herbal infusion made from blue pea flowers that are rich in anthocyanins, which give the tea its distinctive blue colour.
It is rich in many benefits such as improving heart function, controlling blood pressure and sugar in the human body, and healthy mind, skin, hair, eyes and hair.
It also activates the body and contributes to weight loss, among many other benefits proven by modern science and endorsed by international health and food organizations.
