Main responsibilities:
• Receive cash/check from the salesperson with a ‘Temporary Receipt’.
• Reviewing the obsolescence of accounts receivable to ensure that National Paints Company – Egypt maintains low levels of outstanding daily sales and other key performance metrics.
• Prepare a receipt and credit note for any discount given to the client and forward it for approval to the Finance Manager. Prepare the deposit slip and hand over the funds for deposit.
• Maintain manual record of accounts receivable and match it with the general ledger to ensure that all activities have been properly recorded.
• Follow up on customer account details for non-payments, late payments and other irregularities and find & resolve payment discrepancies Report to Finance Manager.
• Ensure complete confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to National Paints – Egypt and its clients.
• Monitoring account balances and related financial activities for the purpose of ensuring accuracy of provisions and compliance with approved credit facilities.
• Manage collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with overdue accounts and tracking cash receipts.
• Obtaining information related to the customer’s account, including non-payment, late payment and other irregularities to make various types of reports.
• Monitors domestic and export receivables, receivables for contracts, and aging, and is involved in the collection process and decision-making on the receivables process and related efficiencies.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, late payments and other irregularities and research and resolve payment discrepancies in consultation with the sales representative.
• Take the lead in resolving collection issues with minimal supervision, and coordinate with individual sales representatives and customers on their respective account issues.
• Supervising the collection as well as coordinating with clients to collect overdue balances in a timely manner and maintain account balances on contract terms.
• Oversee and ensure that cash receipts activity is recorded and deposited in the bank account accurate.
• Recommends writing off debts based on the criteria set by the national paint policies and approved by the appropriate administrative levels.
• Supervising the preparation and approval of bank receivables in both cases of export receipts and local receipts.
• Check all incoming electronic transfers to ensure that they are recorded in the customer’s account as received.
• Maintain a regular call schedule and build rapport with clients.
• Follow-up collections to assess the client’s ability, including its debts and credits to increase or decrease (after approving the head office).
• Monitor and maintain account adjustments in client accounts and process previously approved write-offs.
• Performs analyzes of accounts receivable, carrier aging and trend data to identify poor performance and assist collection efforts.
• Reviewing, analyzing and approving clients’ risks based on credit reports.
• Liaise with sales representative and clients for credit references, additional information and/or security deposits if necessary and keep records for the same.
• Carry out the day-to-day processing of financial transactions to ensure that the finances in Egypt are maintained in an efficient, up-to-date and accurate manner and report to the Finance Manager for analysis.
• Organizing a meeting with the Director of Finance to review collection related issues.
• Calculate sales representatives’ commission based on sales collection in coordination with the Finance Manager for review and approval.
• Opening new accounts for customers in the system, maintaining customer file and checking security.
• When required, any other task assigned by the “Director of Financial Affairs”.

Eligible:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a reputable institute or any accounting degree from a recognized professional body.

expertise:
• Four (4) years of experience in accounts and financial functions, including two years as an accountant due from a reputable institution.
• Experience in the accounts department for paint manufacturing companies in Egypt will be an advantage over other candidates.
• Fluency in both English and Arabic.
