RCSI Bahrain hosts its 13th graduation ceremony

Manama, June 29 (BNA) Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Lieutenant-General Dr. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health. Attended the 13th Honoring Ceremony of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain).


The ceremony witnessed the graduation of 157 medical graduates and 61 graduates from nursing programs for undergraduate and postgraduate students.


The newly elected President of the Royal College of Surgeons, Professor Laura Vianney, expressed her gratitude and appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister for sponsoring the award ceremony.


Prof. Vianney congratulated the graduates for their achievements and dedication over the years and praised the ongoing relationship and strong relationships between the Royal College of Surgeons of Bahrain and Bahrain.


The President of the Royal College of Surgeons in Bahrain, Mr. Samir Al-Atoum, also took the opportunity to congratulate the graduates and extended his gratitude to the friends and family members who supported them in their achievements, wishing them continued success.


It was a particularly special day for our multi-award winning graduate and outstanding student, Dr. Taiba Al Darraj, who won the Class Award Gold Medal, the Gold Medal for Highest Compilation Mark, the Comprehensive Medicine Gold Medal, the Postgraduate Course Silver Medal, and Professor Niall O’ Higgins Award in Surgery Professor John Murphy Award in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor Charlotte Kamel Award in Psychiatry, Professor Joe McMenamin Award in Pediatrics and Professor David Whitford Award in General Practice. The Professor James Finucane Prize in Medicine was awarded to Dr. Ali Shaat, and the Bronze Medal for the Higher Course was won by Dr. Fathi Mostafa.

In the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the Gold Medal in Nursing was awarded to Outstanding Student Noor Al-Ain Bukhari, and the Rufaida Al-Aslamia Award in Nursing was awarded to Abeer Al-Nuaimi.
