Racing Force announces major expansion project for Bahrain headquarters

Manama, Mar. 3 (BNA): Racing Force Group, in partnership with the Bahrain International Circuit, announced a project to expand the headquarters of its subsidiary Racing Force International in Sakhir, Bahrain, in order to meet the growing demand for the Bahrain International Circuit. The project includes the construction of a second floor for the existing station, bringing the total surface area from 7,000 to 12,000 square metres, roughly equivalent to an expansion of 60%.


The building is scheduled for completion at the end of 2023, giving Racing Force Group the opportunity to double the manufacturing capacity of the Bell Racing 2022 brand, including a range of regular racing helmets developed for various disciplines, as well as collectible Bell Mini Helmets replicated in 1:2 scale. For models used in the Formula 1 World Championship and the World Rally Championship.


The Racing Force Group plant in Sakhir hosts the production, research and development center of the Bell Racing brand.


Being adjacent to the Bahrain International Circuit (BIC), it has contributed to the creation of a center of excellence for the motorsports industry in the Middle East.


The Racing Force Group’s announcement comes during the historic weekend of the Bahrain Grand Prix, in which the 2023 Formula 1 World Championship begins. This season, 70% of racing drivers (14 out of 20) wear Bell helmets: among them, Logan Sargeant and Juanio visited Cho and Nick de Vries established on the eve of the weekend.

“This initiative fits with our strategy to strengthen all of the Racing Force Group’s brands, as we will work to increase the share of Bell Racing helmets among the major motorsports competitions, such as Formula 1, WRC, Formula E, IndyCar, NASCAR Cup Series and amateur drivers’ market.


Since the acquisition of Bell Racing in 2019, we have doubled helmet production and aim to replicate this increased rate through headquarters expansion. The boom in motorsports enthusiasts that we’re seeing among the younger generations also helps Bell Mini Helmets become a successful commercial product, and one in which we believe very strongly.”


The CEO of the Bahrain International Circuit, Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, said that the expansion of the Bell facility is a reflection of the amazing success of this famous motorsports brand.
