Working knowledge of PWHT and code limitations to welding or repair of ships and pipes to which PWHT has been applied
– Identify non-conforming works or materials, notify the contractor and keep a record
– Prepare and submit reports regularly (daily) and keep records
Must be able to provide discipline-specific supervision and direction to level staff
Perform incoming dimensional checks on all internally and externally fitted pump parts for engineering printing
– Systematic inspection at every stage of surface preparation, coating/coating and repair
Verify that the approved quality inspection and testing plan (ITP) is fully implemented at different stages of the coating process
– Identify all defective or non-conforming work at each stage that must be corrected to the required QP standard
– Check the qualifications of all painters and contractors by the paint manufacturer, and evaluate the results of the associated tests
