Manama, November 5 (BNA) Head of Public Security and Chairman of the National Disaster Management Committee Lieutenant-General Tariq Al-Hassan held a meeting with Richard James, Director of Special Programs at the College of Emergency Planning in the United Kingdom.
The meeting comes within the framework of a memorandum of understanding signed between the Ministry of the Interior and the British Cabinet regarding emergencies and disasters.
The President explained that the partnership with the college has been in civil protection since 2005, while the strategic visions of the Ministry of Interior are in line with international standards.
He said that willingness and investment in creating a security environment are crucial to promoting development and prosperity in Bahrain.
The meeting reviewed civil protection projects and programs and ways to enhance partnership to enhance emergency preparedness, update the national strategy to control risks, and develop a unified system for qualification and training.
