Amazon is looking for an exceptional Procurement Manager who will represent the Procurement team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. These roles require scoping and creating project plans, developing operations, coordinating and leading implementation, and communicating with senior management on status, risks, and process/product changes. Team coordination, project management and executive presentation skills are essential.

About the role and responsibilities:
• Coordinate order identification, procurement and inventory management for all non-commercial items
• Develop and use demand forecasting models
• Work with recipients and non-inventory management to create organized storage areas for non-inventory supplies
• Manage vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance
• Develop and use metrics to measure operational readiness and non-inventory performance
• Source and negotiate purchase agreements
• Administration and management of local/national contracts for supplies and services
• Partnering with internal clients to positively influence spending decisions
• Develop and implement plans for annual savings in fixed costs and supply costs
• Communicate with other stakeholders to implement best practices and consistency between buildings
• Issuing appropriate purchase orders and assisting in the management of Capital Authorization Requests (CAR)

Basic qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Information Technology or any related field
• Strategic sourcing and purchasing experience. Preferably in the Operational Procurement function.
• Experience of driving new projects or related startups where processes will need to be defined, implemented, and iterated/refined
• In-depth understanding of best-in-class procurement practices (category management, performance tags, should cost models, RFx)
• Experience with data analysis tools/systems including Excel, Access or data management systems
• Experience with purchasing tools (Coupa, PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, etc.)
• Experience working with distributed teams
• Fluency in working English and Arabic is essential

qualifications preferred
• MBA or advanced degree in engineering or other quantitative discipline
• CIPS . qualification
• Experience in the Middle East and North Africa region
• Demonstrated performance in previous role(s), with increased levels of responsibility.
• Desire to grow professionally as role responsibility grows rapidly with business.
• Excellent creative thinking skills with a focus on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have a single clear answer.
