As a member of a support organization, your focus is to provide aftersales support and solutions to Oracle’s customer base while acting as an advocate for customer needs. This includes resolving aftermarket non-technical customer inquiries by telephone and electronic means, as well as technical questions regarding the use and troubleshooting of our electronic support services. As the primary point of contact for customers, you are responsible for facilitating customer relationships with support and advising and assisting internal Oracle personnel on diverse customer situations and escalating issues.
As a consulting systems engineer, you will be expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and highly skilled in solving critical and complex (often previously unknown) customer problems. When performing assigned tasks with a high level of independence and reporting to management on client status and technical issues on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited management guidance. Furthermore, the Consulting Systems Engineer is requested by clients and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.
Leading contributor individually and as a team member, provides direction and guidance to others. The work is highly non-routine and complex, and involves the application of advanced technical/business skills in the area of specialization. Due to the high level of client communication, demonstrated ability to work with clients on an independent basis with exceptional communication skills, while consistently achieving the highest levels of client satisfaction. Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent 8 years relevant experience prior to taking up this position. Plus experience with Oracle* products, applications, and core tools.
