Manama, December 26 (BNA): His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the Public Sports Authority, and Chairman of the Bahrain Olympic Committee. Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Vice President of the Public Sports Authority and President of the Bahrain Council for Combat Sports, was received to review preparations for the BRAVE International Fight Week which will include the first edition of the MMA Super Cup as well as the BRAVE Championship.

The event is scheduled to take place in the first quarter of 2022. The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman Sadiq Askar, CEO of the Public Authority for Sports, Muhammad Shahid, advisor to His Highness the President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, and Muhammad Ali Qambar. At the beginning of the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan praised the efforts of the Bahrain Combat Sports Council, headed by Sheikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, in supporting the federations and federations operating under its umbrella.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid was briefed on the steps that will be taken in preparation for the event, which is among the main sporting events hosted by Bahrain. His Highness added that the International Brave Fighting Week plays a major role in consolidating Bahrain’s advanced position as a leading center for hosting major international sporting events, noting that this contributes to supporting the national economy and achieving Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.
