Preparations for 2022 Manama Gold launched

Manama, Mar. 25 (BNA): The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority held a meeting at the Bahrain International Jewelery Exhibition and discussed preparations for the second edition of the Manama Golden Festival.


The Authority’s CEO, Dr. Nasser Al-Qaidi, shed light on the festival’s goals and plans to market the event and provide promotions and raffles for valuable prizes in cooperation with gold shops in the Manama market.


Dr. Al-Qaidi and gold traders stressed the importance of building on the success of the first session held last year.


Traders praised the quality initiatives presented by the Bahrain Tourism Authority, the diversification of tourism products and the contribution to the revival of tourism in the Manama market, one of the oldest commercial markets in the region.


Al-Qaidi said, “The festival mainly aims to promote the Manama market as a preferred tourist destination and target citizens and residents in neighboring Gulf markets.”


A total of 203 gold shops participated in the 2022 edition of the festival, which attracted 1,549 customers from 12 nationalities, while sales exceeded 1.25 million Bahraini dinars.
