Political Affairs Undersecretary meets US House Committee on Ethics Chairman

Washington, October 9 / BNA / Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa met here with the Chairman of the US House of Representatives Ethics Committee and the Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee, MP. Ted Deutch.

During the meeting, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah praised the strong historical relations and the distinguished strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly United States of America.

He affirmed Bahrain’s firm commitment to protecting human rights, noting that the Kingdom has made pioneering achievements in consolidating democratic practice, as well as respect for freedoms and the rule of law.

The Undersecretary for Political Affairs reviewed Bahrain’s consistent and responsible positions in supporting and enhancing the security and prosperity of the Middle East region, explaining that the Ibrahim Agreements will contribute to building a better future for the peoples of the region.

MP Deutch expressed his appreciation for the effective efforts and tangible initiatives undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain to strengthen the foundations of peace and stability in the Middle East, wishing the Kingdom further development.
