Political Affairs Undersecretary leads Bahrain’s delegation to 6th political consultations with Japan

Tokyo, September 13 (BNA) The sixth round of political consultations was held between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Japan, headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Dr. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa. Assistant Foreign Minister and Director General of the Office of Middle East and African Affairs at the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nagaoka Kansuke, at the ministry’s headquarters here.

During the meeting, the Undersecretary praised the solid relations between Bahrain and Japan, and the progress they are witnessing in various fields, to activate the memorandum of understanding on political consultations signed on the sidelines of the visit of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa. The two sides noted the tangible progress in bilateral cooperation in conjunction with the golden jubilee of establishing diplomatic relations between the two friendly countries, activating more than 17 agreements and memoranda of understanding signed in various fields, in addition to coordinating diplomatic positions between the two countries. Support regional and global peace and security efforts.

The two sides discussed ways to enhance economic cooperation and encourage bilateral trade.
