Plans to build mosques in new towns, areas announced

Manama, Dec. 13 (BNA): Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, Nawaf Al-Maawda, affirmed the interest of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in mosques.


The minister also praised the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for the construction of mosques.


Al-Maawda said that the ministry coordinated with the Sunni and Jaafari departments to build mosques according to plans to meet the needs of the new residential areas.


Current plans include building mosques in East Hidd and Madinat Salman as well as in Ramli, Madinat Khalifa and East Sitra.
