PICPA wins second Pinay Bowl for a Cause

Manama, Aug. 17 (BNA) 17 teams from various Filipino organizations participated in the 2nd Pinay Ikaw Na Bowling Cup (PIN) to collect donations to help cancer patients.


The Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) emerged as the champion after collecting the most number of bowling pins at the Second Pinay Bowl for A Cause in Manama.


The PICPA winning team included Carlito Bogarin, Benson Castillejos, Marietta Tapasundra, Christine Joy Gore and Lyndell Le Ganog.


Shooters from Kabalikat ng Manggagawang Pilipino sa Bahrain (KMPB) and Handicappers took first and second runners-up, respectively.


Philippine Embassy Affairs Officer Anne Galondo-on-Louis along with OWWA Foreign Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Officer, Redina Manlapaz, attended the fundraising tournament.


Carmen de Ramos, PIN Treasurer and Executive Committee Member of the Bahrain Filipino Club said Carlito Bugarín is the winner of the High Series (male); September Rose Lobble, High Series (female); Ariel Triumfo, High Game (male); Marijoy de Vera, Hi Game (Female) and Faiza Jahani as Queen of Dirt.


“The idea behind this event is to acknowledge and celebrate the support of our fellow migrant workers and the Filipino community in their fundraising initiative in fun forms to help cancer patients,” PIN President Dina Sta. Anna said.
