Pep Guardiola extends Manchester City contract until 2025

London, November 23 (BNA): Pep Guardiola signed a new contract with Manchester City that will keep him at the Premier League club until 2025. The Spanish coach’s current deal was due to expire at the end of the season, but he did. Committed to two more years at Etihad Stadium, according to the Associated Press.

Guardiola joined City in 2016 and has overseen the most successful period in the club’s history, winning four league titles and nine major trophies in total. But he has so far failed to win the Champions League with City. The extension would take his time with the Premier League champions to nine years, far beyond any of his previous coaching jobs. Guardiola spent four seasons at Barcelona and three with Bayern Munich.

Guardiola has made 374 City appearances, second only to Les McDowell (587) on the club’s post-war managers’ list.
