Job Brief

We are looking for a reliable ‘Operations and Accounts Officer’ to run our operations independently and provide adequate assistance in accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be competent in setting priorities and work with little supervision.

responsibilities

• Analyze and coordinate the supply chain for business.
• Negotiate Incoterms for all shipments. Inbound to the UAE and exported for re-export to end-user markets.
• Facilitate the exchange of documents with a third party logistics provider for customs clearance of the United Arab Emirates
• Global inventory and inventory management. (receiving, picking, packing, shipping and tracking)
• Place product orders for other manufacturers
• Manage all transactions with a third party logistics service provider, maintain appropriate records, reconcile data and submit relevant periodic reports to management.
• Liaise with relevant corporate employees, third party providers, customers and suppliers.
• Update and maintain procedural documents.
• Monitoring and reconciling debit and credit accounts.
• Ensure timely payments and efficiently manage banking and settlement activities.
• Assist in managing and recording accounting transactions in compliance with the company’s financial policies/procedures and related tax regulations.
• Preparing and submitting periodic reports necessary to take administrative decisions.
• Assist in the periodic closing and preparation of financial statements in accordance with the company’s accounting guidelines and tax regulations.
• Enhancing the confidentiality of financial data and making backup copies of the database when necessary.
• Assisting with other operational and accounting projects.
• Perform general and clerical office tasks.

requirements

• College degree.
• At least two years’ work experience in the United Arab Emirates.
• Proven experience in handling documentation and logistics.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and practices and financial reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Analytical skills and high accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
• A valid UAE driving license.
• Professional references (upon request).
