The global open source team at IBM is looking for engineers with experience in implementing the digital transformation needs of customers.

Your role and responsibilities

– Executing solutions designs for clients with architects
Translate requirements into custom system design and development
Experience in deploying, configuring and tuning a Java application
– Troubleshoot and solve design and configuration issues in the customer’s environment
Create knowledge through articles, blogs or remote training

Technical and professional experience required

At least 3 years of implementation experience in one or more of these open source projects: Apache Kafka, OpenJDK, Spring Framework, Java, Apache ActiveMQ
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The role of facing the previous client
Ensure to learn and expand technical competencies regularly
Flexible with change

Preferred technical and professional experience

Skills of developing software solutions using cloud-native technologies using languages ​​such as Python, Java or Golang via DevOps best practices
Experience in architecture and correspondence according to events
Cloud integration experience
– Current contributions to the open source community or desire to do so
Collaboration experience (support forums, mailing lists or code) with one or more of these open source projects: PostgreSQL, Apache Cassandra, Apache Hadoop, Redis, MongoDB, MariaDB, MySQL, Apache Spark, Galera Cluster, Apache CouchDB.
