Manama, Feb. 19 (BNA): The Middle East Oil, Gas and Geosciences Conference and Exhibition (MEOS GEO 2023) opened today at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center in Sakhir.


On behalf of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, the event was inaugurated by Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa.


The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance attached to the oil and gas sector in light of the comprehensive development process led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.


He expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his sponsorship of this vital event, which has been held in the Kingdom of Bahrain every two years since 1979.


He pointed to the government’s support for the oil sector due to the great importance of energy, which stimulates growth and achieves prosperity for the countries of the world.


He praised the efforts of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (Nogaholding), headed by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nogaholding Company, in promoting the development of the oil and gas sectors. .


“The conference) is an opportunity to exchange information and expertise, learn about the latest studies and successful experiences in oil and gas exploration, and find appropriate solutions that aim to achieve commercial benefit,” he said.
