Omani Youth Ship docks in Bahrain

Manama, November 16 (BNA) The Omani Youth Ship (Sultana) docked today at Port Salman bin Kingdom of Bahrain as part of a trip through the seaports of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The Director General of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) Sheikha Hala bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chargé d’Affairs at the Omani Embassy Dr. Mohammed Al Balushi and other officials welcomed the ship.

A youth delegation comprising 18 students from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and others representing 11 universities in the world will participate in the journey and travel on board the Omani ship.

The students visited the Bahrain National Museum, Bumaher Castle, the gateway to the Bahrain Pearl Road, which appears on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.

They also visited the Pearl Trail Visitor Center in Muharraq as well as the iconic Buzabun building run by the Sheikh Ibrahim Center for Culture and Research.
