Islamabad, Aug. 16 (BNA) A police spokesman and media said on Tuesday that at least 20 people were killed in a crash between an oil tanker and a passenger bus in Pakistan.
It was not immediately clear what caused the accident late Monday night or early Tuesday on a highway near the central city of Multan, Reuters reported.
A police spokesman said in a statement that the bus and the tank caught fire after the collision, without providing details of the death toll.
Geo and Dunya TV reported that at least 20 people were killed.
Six passengers escaped, a government rescue service official told Dunya TV on the spot.
“It was on fire when we got here,” he said.
