Oil Spill Response Limited opens its new headquarters in Bahrain

Manama, October 11 (BNA): Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, stressed the importance of developing the capabilities and resources needed to respond quickly to oil spill incidents, by maintaining a high level of oil spill preparedness, and providing the necessary equipment. and training of personnel specialized in responding to oil spills.


Oil Spill Response Limited (OSRL) inaugurated its new base in Bahrain, under the patronage of Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak bin Dina, in the presence of OSRL CEO Robert Limp, and OSRL Regional Director for the Middle East Reiss Jenkins.


The Minister of Oil and Environment commended OSRL for choosing Bahrain as the headquarters of its operations in the region and for the efforts it made to improve its technical and logistical capabilities. He pointed out that these efforts reflect the company’s keenness to improve the quality of its operations and services that it provides to the Kingdom, and to improve its readiness to deal with any oil spills that may occur in regional waters.


Reese Jenkins, Regional Director for the Middle East, said that the new facility in Bahrain allows the company to enhance the services it provides in the region, and facilitate greater preparedness, allowing it to hold more technical training courses and workshops in the region such as the new conference. The room facility can provide training for up to 12 delegates.
