Oil Minister honors competition winners

Manama, Feb. 16 (BNA): The Minister of Oil and Environment and the Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, Dr. Muhammad bin Mubarak bin Dinah, honored the winners of the competition to produce short educational films under the slogan “Global Cooperation to Protect Life.” On Earth” launched by the Supreme Council for the Environment last September on the occasion of the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer.

The Minister of Oil and Environment stressed the importance of the competition to promote environmental awareness and protect the environment and the ozone layer. He added that making short films by students has a great impact on all age groups. He praised the students’ creativity in film production, appreciating the schools’ interest in environmental competitions.

The competition, which was launched by the Supreme Council for the Environment last September in conjunction with the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, aims to shed light on issues related to the ozone layer and the role of the individual in supporting national and international efforts. In this regard. Forty male and female students, representing 15 private schools, participated in it. The first place was won by Larissa Ziyad Rabia from Hawar International School, while Nour Sayed Muhammad Al-Mousawi from Al-Ahlia School won the second place.
